 We believe that Yeshua’s self-sacrifice is far more than “legal atonement”. We believe that we were not born in a courtroom, nor are we going to a courtroom. To us the cross is not just about “legal acquittal”. But we believe that the cross is about a lovesick God (John 3:16) who dreamed of a creature that’s so noble He’s willing to take on our form and give His life for us. Our God is no passive judge. He’s a burning, turbulent, passionate lover, and we are the one creature that He has set His affections on. He gives His own life so we can live. For this reason, there is no more miserable thing than to be a believer and not be able to enjoy God. He purchased us with Royal Blood for one reason – He wants to enjoy us. God is not moody, He’s not capricious, and He never wakes up on the wrong side of the bed. Every moment of everyday His heart is dreaming of ways to encounter us (Psalm 121:4, Hebrews 7:25). Because He first loved us, we now love (1 John 4:10).
